July 2011 – Job Vacancy at Datum Alloys UK – Sales and Business Development
Datum Alloys is a global stockist and supplier of specialist alloys to industries such as electronics and aerospace. It currently has sites in the UK, Singapore and USA, with distributors in Korea and China.
An opportunity has opened up for a Sales and Business Development person to join the team in our UK office.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new business and grow existing sales for the assigned markets
- Evaluate and report opportunities and strategies
- Strategic review and implementation of strong business models for all market segments
- Create market and product added value
- Work with internal resources and supply partners to develop new business
- Prepare and execute annual sales budget
- Regular sales performance reporting
- Develop a thorough understanding of customer requirements on a business and technical level.
Requirements:
- Have a proven track record and experience in market research and developing sales into new areas
- Have experience of sales within the b2b environment
- Be able to think strategically and look for new opportunities
- Demonstrate a tangible record of success for developing new business
- Be willing and able to travel extensively, and at short notice, globally
The successful applicant will also preferably be able to speak a second language, ideally French or German and have some international trade experience.
Salary: £30-40K depending on experience (and satisfactory completion of probationary period) with an attractive bonus scheme based upon profit and growth of business the applicant is responsible for.
